Hi there.
Well I cant say this Laminated Fabric co-op is going very well at all. In fact the last few I have run have been pretty dismal compared to those in the past.
I know the economy is slow at the moment and that many people are spending their $$ overseas because of the good exchange rate… but I thought selling these laminated fabrics cheaper than in the US would have been a big drawcard – I guess not.
So, I wont be running any more co-ops for quite a while. Maybe towards the end of the year the situation will have changed and I can look at things again.
This co-op was due to finish today 18/3/11 – but I am extending it for 1 week to 25/3/11.
Quite frankly, if we dont get a LOT more orders I am going to have to cancel it and refund money, its that dismal.
So – if you where planning on buying laminated fabric in this co-op, now is the time. If orders havent improved by Monday Im cancelling it.
Sorry to do this to those who have participated, but there is no other solution.
I have also reduced the number of fabrics to choose from so that we can perhaps fill some orders.

Catherine,
You need to update the closing date on your web page. I am getting emails asking am i sure it goes for another week because the web site says it ended.
Cheers!
Lindi
Hi Lindi.
I have updated the closing date – yesterday on the same post “Last co-op for a while”.
I will update it on my website & let everyone know what the situation is.

I can’t believe my bad timing :S
I’ve recently started sewing and having found my niche (finally!) I’m having people ask me if I would do orders for them.
I’ve been buying my fabric at Spotlight and I’m finding the nicer fabrics too pricey to make a profit from (I’ve never done orders for people before and I don’t want to charge unreasonably), so after trawling the internet trying to find where all these other stay at home mums who sew buy their fabric from (figuring they must buy it cheap to charge the very reasonable prices they sell their wares for on Facebook, Etsy etc) and after becoming increasingly frustrated at Google for not giving me the answers I’m looking for, I by chance come across ‘fabric co-ops’. So then I started looking for Australian co-ops (I live in Mackay, NQLD) and came across your blog…to find I just missed the last co-op for a while lol!
Needless to say my poor laptop isn’t talking to me anymore until I apologise for all the cursing I launched at it…(I’ll put some pretty wallpapers on it later to make up for it).
Would you mind terribly pointing me in the direction of any other Oz fabric co-ops or even somewhere I can buy 1 or 2 bolts of fabric at a time (without having to spend a huge amount or have a large minimum order requirement)?
I love all the funky vibrant designer quilting fabrics and living no where near a capital city (if you don’t know Mackay, we’re kind of like the home base for Central North QLD’s vast array of mining communities) good fabric cost’s a fortune to buy here, so any help, any at all, would be really really appreciated (by me and my laptop).
Kind Regards,
Simone
Btw- I LOVE LOVE LOVE your blog wallpaper!
